Rutgers basketball wanted to honor Eric LeGrand Saturday ahead of its game against No. 22 Seton Hall.

So, the Scarlet Knights decided to wear special warm-up shirts in LeGrand’s honor:

LeGrand is an icon among Scarlet Knight athletics and has helped change many people’s lives by showing the heart and determination to fight through adversity. LeGrand is a former football player who became paralyzed due to a hit on a kickoff return back in 2010.

The gesture from the Scarlet Knights’ basketball team is an awesome one for a person who certainly deserves it. LeGrand’s injury may have taken place nearly 10 years ago, but his story will never be forgotten. As LeGrand has said, he has overcome adversity, and still lives life to its fullest.
