A pair of former Scarlet Knights are leading the B1G in the 40-yard dash time at their respective positions at the NFL Combine.

Wide receiver Bo Melton and running back Isaih Pacheco showed their burst of speed in Indianapolis, posting some impressive times in the 40-yard dash.

Melton clocked a 4.34 time in the 40-yard dash, the fastest of any B1G receiver. He beat out Ohio State receivers Garrett Wilson (4.38) and Chris Olave (4.39) as the conference’s speediest receiver to participate.

That time also ranked No. 5 among all wide receivers.

Pacheco was not only the fastest B1G running back in the 40-yard dash, he posted the best time for the position group. His 4.37 time was tied for the best, beating Michigan State’s Kenneth Walker III, who recorded a 4.38 time.

Melton was one of Rutgers’ top playmakers offensively over the past 5 seasons. His speed was a big reason why he was the top target in the passing attack.

During the 2021 season, Melton had 55 catches for 628 yards and 3 touchdowns. He left Rutgers with 2,011 yards on 164 catches and also added 165 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns on the ground.

Pacheco rushed for 647 yards and 5 touchdowns on 167 carries for the Scarlet Knights during the 2021 season. He enjoyed a solid 4-year run at Rutgers, eclipsing the 500-yard mark every year.

The former Rutgers ball carrier left the program with a total of 2,449 yards and 18 touchdowns on the ground.
