The Rutgers Boardwalk is going to be a staple for Scarlet Knight home games in 2022.

In an announcement Tuesday morning, Rutgers revealed they will be bringing the New Jersey boardwalk scene to campus in Piscataway for home games this season. According to that release, the Rutgers Boardwalk area will open 4 hours prior to kick-off for every home game. A post-game fireworks show will also be featured.

The area will feature food trucks, rides, music, games, a parade, a pep rally and the Scarlet Walk heading toward kickoff. Other activities for kids and a bear garden for fans 21+ will also be available with all game day giveaways handed out along the Rutgers Boardwalk.

It should be a fun and unique addition to the game day vibe in Piscataway:

The first introduction to the Rutgers Boardwalk will come in Week 2 prior to the matchup vs. Wagner. Kickoff for that game on Sept. 10 is set for 4 pm ET with the boardwalk opening up at noon.
