Rutgers' center Clifford Omoruyi discusses recent donations to his charity on B1G Network
Rutgers MBB center Clifford Omoruyi created a shoe drive to help struggling citizens in his home country of Nigeria. He received over 800 pairs of shoes for the needy, and spoke about it in a recent interview on B1G Network.
Omoruyi was surprised at how many people donated to his charity after he posted the news about his charity on his Twitter account. He spoke to Andy Katz of B1G Network about the opportunity, and what all he has done to get the word out there.
Here’s what he said:
“The first thing I did was just post it on Instagram and Twitter,” said Omoruyi. “I wasn’t expecting more than like 500. When I posted on the first day there wasn’t much happening. Then I came back and I was like, geez people really watch my Twitter! They’re really supportive.”
