Rutgers closes out 1st half vs. Indiana with steal and slam, buzzer beater
It’s been nearly a month since Rutgers last won a basketball game, but the Scarlet Knights are hoping to put an end to that ugly losing streak on Sunday afternoon.
Rutgers traveled to Bloomington to take on Indiana Sunday, hoping to end its five-game losing streak. While there were some ups and downs throughout the first 20 minutes of the B1G matchup, the Scarlet Knights ended the half on a positive note.
With just under 5 minutes to play in the 1st half and owning a 1-point lead, Jacob Young was able to come up with a steal and get the ball to Geo Baker, who then dunked it on the opposite end of the floor to give the Scarlet Knights a 29-26 advantage.

A few minutes later, Rutgers was able to build on that three-point lead and take a five-point advantage into the locker room thanks to a buzzer beater.
Geo Baker missed a 3-point attempt as the clock was winding down, but Caleb McConnell was able to get great position and tipped the ball back into the hoop as time expired. Rutgers had a 38-33 lead at the break.

Can Rutgers carry that momentum into the 2nd half and end its losing streak?
