If there’s a football player who understands the color the scarlet, it’s Brendon White.

White started his college football career at Ohio State. Now, he is a defensive back at Rutgers. On Saturday, he will meet his former team in Columbus.

In 2018, White was a star defender for the Buckeyes. He was the team’s MVP in the Rose Bowl. He did that playing under then defensive coordinator Greg Schiano.

Now, White is playing under Schiano once again. This time, however, Schiano is the head coach of Rutgers.

So far, White has made his impact known in the defensive backfield for the Scarlet Knights. He has 17 tackles, an interception and a fumble recovery.

It’s beyond a long shot for Rutgers to pull off an upset of Ohio State. But I can’t imagine how Schiano and White would feel if they did indeed do it.
