Rutgers DL Mike Tverdov makes call on 2022 season
Rutgers senior defensive lineman Mike Tverdov is forgoing his final season of eligibility and declaring for the 2022 NFL Draft.
The 6-foot-4, 275-pound Tverdov announced the decision on Twitter:

Tverdov expressed his gratitude to the Rutgers fan base during his time with the program.
“Lastly to Rutgers Nation, thank you for your support over the years and for being part of this wild ride. It has been a dream of mine all my life to wear this block R and I fulfilled it,” Tverdov said.
Tverdov totaled five solo tackles this season and 56 solo tackles overall in his four seasons at Rutgers. Tverdov collected 8.5 sacks and two forced fumbles as a Scarlet Knight.
In Greg Schiano’s first season in his return to Rutgers, the team began the season at 3-0 and concluded with a 5-7 record. Rutgers hasn’t posted a winning season since going 8-5 in 2014.
