Rutgers DL with 27 career starts enters transfer portal
Experienced Rutgers defensive lineman Elorm Lumor has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal. He makes the decision with one year of eligibility remaining at the college level.
Lumor’s decision comes after spending the last five years with the Scarlet Knights. He did not see game action in his first year in 2016, but recorded 104 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss and 9 sacks since the 2017 season.
In 2020, Lumor appeared in eight of Rutgers’ nine games with three starts. The defensive lineman was credited with 24 tackles and 1.5 sacks as the Scarlet Knights closed the season with a 3-6 record.

The best season for Lumor came in 2018, when he piled up 35 tackles, including 7 for loss, with 4 sacks, a fumble recovery and a blocked kick. He followed that year up by registering 31 tackles, 3 sacks and a pass break-up in 2019.
Lumor initially decided to declare for the NFL Draft before the 2020 season, but ultimately opted to play for new head coach Greg Schiano. But now it seems the defensive lineman will look to end his college career somewhere else.
