Rutgers is still putting together its class for 2020 since reuniting with head coach Greg Schiano.

Schiano has worked quickly, securing a handful of commitments over the past week. With the Early Signing Period quickly approaching, the Scarlet Knights are still adding and making a push for the 2020 class.

On Wednesday, Rutgers actually flipped one recruit. Robert Longerbeam is an athlete out of Virginia who began the afternoon by decommitting from Temple. He followed that up in the evening by announcing his new commitment to Rutgers:

According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Longerbeam is a three-star ATH and the No. 23 player out of Virginia for 2020. He is listed at 6-feet and 160 lbs but possesses elite physical tools. Longerbeam has been clocked at 4.48 in the 40-yard dash with a 39.5″ vertical.

Longerbeam has appeared all over the field on both sides of the ball in high school. Regardless of where he fits in, it definitely looks like he has the tools to develop into a playmaker at the collegiate level.
