Rutgers football visits children's hospital day before game vs. Northwestern
It’s Week 8 of the college football season and who’s ready for some action?
We all are, right? Football is just a day away and the Big Ten has a number of intriguing matchups. Whether it’s two ranked teams going against each other — like No. 6 Michigan-No. 24 Michigan State — or two unranked teams battling it out — like Rutgers-Northwestern — we’re ready for the show to begin.
However, what’s more important than football?
How about bringing smiles to kids’ faces and cheering up a boy or girl who is feeling a little down? That’s certainly one thing that would be more important.
On Friday, ahead of the game against Northwestern, Rutgers visited a children’s hospital and at the least, brightened up the kids’ day:
Great way to start Homecoming Weekend at @RutgersU by @RFootball visiting the children's hospital! The players and kids had a blast playing games and hanging out. Thank you to @RUAthletics for always helping to bring smiles to the kids! pic.twitter.com/jW7fQ0n9pG

Saturday may seem important to college football fans. But Friday was a day these kids will never forget.
