Recruiting is a 24/7 activity.

Of course, there are restrictions. The NCAA has to put rules in place for many reasons. But, recruiting is constantly going on in college sports.

On Saturday morning, Rutgers got a win on the recruiting trail when LB Jack Del Rio committed to the Scarlet Knights in the Class of 2020. The Scarlet Knights’ 2020 class is now nine members deep and ranks 13th in the Big Ten (79th nationally).

Del Rio is a 6-foot-3, 215-pound prospect listed as an outside linebacker by 247Sports. According to the site’s rankings, he is a 3-star prospect. He is listed as N/A according to its Composite rankings.

Del Rio comes from Clearwater, Fla. and is the first LB to commit to Rutgers for 2020. There is no relation between him and former NFL head coach Jack Del Rio, who last coached the Oakland Raiders in 2017.
