Rutgers interim coach compares Johnny Langan’s skill set to CFB greats, including Tim Tebow
Rutgers interim coach Nunzio Campanile has seen a lot over the last few weeks.
He’s seen his team lose quarterbacks for multiple reasons, he’s seen his team lose games that it hasn’t been close in and he’s also seen his team win a game in which it was a touchdown underdog in. This past week, the latter was what Campanile faced.
Not only did Campanile deliver in Rutgers’ 44-34 victory, but so did Scarlet Knights quarterback Johnny Langan.

Langan, a redshirt freshman signal caller who played his high school ball under Campanile, ran for over 100 yards (118) while throwing for 192 and two touchdowns against Liberty.
On Monday, during Campanile’s weekly presser, who threw some massively successful collegiate quarterbacks’ names around when talking about Langan:
Johnny Langan's a big, strong and athletic guy. @CoachNunz compares the reigning B1G co-frosh of the week's skills to some recent QB greats, including Tim Tebow.

Now, did Campanile compare Langan directly to Tim Tebow? Not exactly. But, you do get his point. Langan is built more and plays more like Tim Tebow than he does a Peyton Manning or Andrew Luck.
If Rutgers is going to be successful, Campanile has to put Langan in situations where he can succeed. The pair did just that this past weekend.
