Rutgers picked up a key commitment from an in-state offensive lineman early Tuesday morning.

Previously committed to Cincinnati, Nick Oliveira announced his decision to reopen his commitment Monday with the recent coaching changes to the Bearcats. Less than 24 hours later, Oliveira has announced his decision to stay home and play for in-state program Rutgers.

Oliveira is an offensive tackle prospect listed at 6-foot-5 and 280 lbs. Oliveira played at Clearview Reg. School in Mullica Hill, New Jersey and is rated as the No. 15 player out of New Jersey for 2023 per the 247 Sports Composite Rankings. He is also the 65th OT nationally with a number of Power 5 offers received.

Oliveira joins a Rutgers recruiting class that currently ranks 49th nationally per the team recruiting rankings of 247 Sports. That group includes 5 players out of New Jersey with 4 of the top 20 in-state prospects committed.
