Greg Schiano has been dealing some inconsistencies at quarterback this season. He updated the status of his players at the position per Brian Fonseca of NJ.com.

Noah Vedral has yet to play a snap for Rutgers this season. Gavin Wimsatt and Evan Simon have picked up the slack so far, but now Wimsatt is battling injuries.

Schiano stated that Vedral and Wimsatt are both going to be game-time decisions against Iowa.

Simon has taken more advantage of his playing time so far with 266 yards passing and 2 touchdowns. Wimsatt has 117 yards passing with 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions from the games he’s played in.

Rutgers and Iowa have played twice since the Scarlet Knights joined the B1G in 2014. Iowa has won both meetings, including a 30-0 shutout victory in 2019.

Both the Scarlet Knights and Hawkeyes have been lackluster on offense this season, and are at the bottom of the conference in offensive yards per game. Rutgers averages 369.3 yards per game, while Iowa has had 217.7 yards per game this season.

Iowa and Rutgers play Saturday at 7 p.m. ET on FS1.
