Rutgers is down a pledge in its 2023 recruiting class. Pennsylvania wide receiver Yazeed Haynes announced his decommitment from the Scarlet Knights on Monday via his Twitter account.

“I am beyond thankful for all of the love and support from the Rutgers coaching staff,” Haynes wrote on Twitter. “After a discussion with my parents I have made the decision to decommit from Rutgers University. Thank you Coach (Damiere) Shaw and Coach (Greg) Schiano for everything during the time of my commitment. Please respect my decision. My recruitment is now 100% open!”

Haynes had committed to Rutgers back on March 24. He picked up a scholarship offer from Minnesota on April 29.

Haynes is listed at 6-1, 165 pounds and rated 3-stars, the No. 23 Pennsylvania product, No. 111 wide receiver and the No. 815 prospect overall nationally in the clash of 2023 on the 247Sports Composite. Haynes’ 247Sports profile shows 8 total scholarship offers.
