Rutgers offensive coordinator Jerry Kill was hospitalized on Sunday after suffering a seizure, Chris Ash told reporters on Monday.
According to Ash, Kill suffered a “minor seizure” on Sunday and was taken to the hospital. Kill was knocked down on the sideline during the Scarlet Knights’ contest against Eastern Michigan. He felt discombobulated and endured headaches on Saturday following the game before the seizure on Sunday morning.
In the middle of the 2015 season, Kill was forced to resign as the head coach at Minnesota due to epilepsy. Though he didn’t think he’d be back on the sideline, Kill developed a routine that helped manage his symptoms. This is his first year at Rutgers.
Ash said that this was a “minor setback” and that he expects Kill to return to the team shortly.
