Rutgers officially added a key transfer Wednesday in offensive lineman Curtis Dunlap Jr. Dunlap began his career at Minnesota as a member of the 2018 recruiting class.

Originally a 4-star prospect, Dunlap developed into a key contributor for the Gophers. He started 1 game as a true freshman but retained a redshirt by appearing in just 4 games. Dunlap started 12 games in 2019 and 3 more in 2021 after missing all of 2020.

Now, he’s moved on to Rutgers and head coach Greg Schiano. Dunlap should be a key piece for the Scarlet Knights in 2022 with Rutgers officially introducing him on Wednesday.

Dunlap was an All-B1G Honorable Mention during 2019 and was an Academic All-B1G in 2020. He joins former Sacred Heart OL JD DiRenzo as transfer linemen to join Rutgers this offseason. It will be interesting to see if those additions boost the offense into a better performance in 2022.
