A Rutgers offensive lineman has decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal.

Isaiah Wright, a member of the Scarlet Knights’ 2020 recruiting class, will look for options outside of Piscataway to continue his college football career. He spent two years with the program before entering the database.

Rivals.com reported the news Monday.

Wright’s decision comes just a few weeks after Rutgers closed out spring practice. Last year, the Scarlet Knights finished with a 5-8 record and earned a trip to the Gator Bowl.

Wright is listed as a 6-foot-4, 300-pound offensive lineman. In his two years with the program, he did not see any action on the field. He will have four years of eligibility to utilize at his next destination.

Last season, Wright earned Academic All-B1G honors.

A New Jersey native, Wright was a 3-star member of the 2020 recruiting class. He received five offers during the recruiting process before his commitment to Rutgers.
