Well, this is one way to celebrate a big score!

Rutgers is taking on Boston College in a non-conference showdown against a Power 5 opponent. It is a good chance for the Scarlet Knights to make a statement outside of the B1G, and an early touchdown leveled the score.

Quarterback Artur Sitkowski connected on a short throw to Raheem Blackshear, and Blackshear took care of the rest. He hit second gear quickly and got into the open with a beautiful cut near the middle of the field. After that, it was off to the races for Blackshear as he raced 74 yards for the score.

Needless to say, it is a play worth celebrating a little bit. Scoring from 70 yards out doesn’t happen often, but one offensive lineman got a bit carried away. Rutgers center Mike Maietti accidentally punched Sitkowski right in the face mask amidst the excitement!

Sitkowksi likely understands the excitement, but maybe Maietti can find a different way to show it next time:
