Against Michigan State, Korsak had seven punts, with six of those landing inside the 20-yard line — three inside the 10-yard line. His average on the day was 46.1 yards, to go along with a long of 57 yards. During the seven punts, MSU was able to just return for yard.
At this rate, Korsak is looking at setting a new single-season school record, averaging 48.5 yards per kick so far. He is just 67 yards away from breaking the school record in punt yards of 10,096 held by Mike Barr. Korsak surpassed the 10,000-yard mark against the Spartans, having punted 229 yards during his career, with just five having been into the end zone for a touchback.
The Scarlet Knights are on the road this weekend, visiting Northwestern on Saturday, Oct. 16 at 12:00 PM.
