Rutgers' remarkable season results in huge fan interest for final 4 home games
Fans aren’t missing the opportunity to catch one of the best stories in the B1G this season.
Rutgers, currently 15-5 on the season and 7-3 in B1G play, announced recently that the remainder of the team’s home games have been sold out for the 2019-20 season. The Scarlet Knights have four more games at the RAC to close out the campaign.
With those four additional sell-outs, Rutgers will record a program-high 10 sell-out crowds for this basketball season. The Scarlet Knights are a perfect 15-0 at home this year, the only B1G team with an undefeated record on their home court.
Here are the remaining home games for Rutgers this season, which currently ranks 25th in the Associated Press poll:
- Sunday, Feb. 9: vs. Northwestern
- Saturday, Feb. 15: vs. No. 19 Illinois
- Wednesday, Feb. 19: vs. Michigan
- Tuesday, March 3: vs. No. 15 Maryland
With unprecedented and unexpected success in the 2019-20 season, head coach Steve Pikiell is considered to be in the running for B1G Coach of the Year. Rutgers seems like a lock for the NCAA tournament at the end of the season, barring any major collapse in the final month of the season.
Saturday, Rutgers travels to Ann Arbor to face Michigan.
