Rutgers is losing a key defensive assistant according to a Friday morning report.
According to Jordan D. Hill with Dawgs 247, Georgia is expected to hire Fran Brown to fill the vacant DB role of the Bulldogs following the departure of Jahmile Addae to Miami. Brown has spent the past 2 seasons on Greg Schiano’s staff but will now join Kirby Smart and the defending national champs.

Brown’s rise through the coaching ranks included stops at Temple and Baylor before joining Schiano’s staff. The Rutgers defense and Brown’s unit recorded 7 interceptions during the 2021 season.
Brown’s work as a recruiter was seen as pivotal for Schiano’s return to the Scarlet Knights:
“Fran Brown is one of the elite recruiters in the country. If you were putting together a short list of guys that are of the best recruiters in the country, Fran Brown would be on it,” said Steve Wiltfong of 247 Sports. “He has proven that he can be elite in several settings at Temple, at Baylor and at Rutgers helping elevate rosters and turning programs into winners, particularly at Temple and at Baylor.”
