Rutgers fans are less than three months out from getting an in-person preview of the 2024 Scarlet Knights.

The program announced Monday that the annual Scarlet-White spring game will be held on April 27 this year. Kickoff time and Big Ten Network broadcast details will be announced at a later date.

Rutgers is coming off a 7-6 season in 2023, its first winning season since 2014. Head coach Greg Schiano is in his 15th season as the Scarlet Knights head coach. His second stint began ahead of the 2020 season.

Last season, Rutgers got off to a 6-2 start with wins over Northwestern, Virginia Tech, Michigan State and Indiana. The Scarlet Knights finished the regular season on a four-game losing skid but ended the year on a high note.

With a 6-6 regular season, Rutgers secured bowl eligibility. Schiano’s squad accepted a bid to play in Yankee Stadium’s Pinstripe Bowl. The Scarlet Knights defeated the Miami Hurricanes 31-24 in the game, providing some momentum for the 2024 campaign.

The Scarlet-White Game will offer fans the chance to see new members of the team. Schiano’s staff landed 24 high school prospects in December’s Early Signing Period. Wide receiver KJ Duff’s signing makes the third straight cycle that Rutgers has signed the top prospect out of the state of New York.

Sixteen of those signees have already enrolled at Rutgers. In addition to the 16 enrollees, the Scarlet Knights have also added five new players via the transfer portal.
