Rutgers WR announces intent to enter transfer portal, retains 3 years of eligibility
Rutgers is losing the services of sophomore wide receiver Shawn Munnerlyn, the former 3-star receiver announced Saturday evening.
Munnerlyn has yet to suit up for the Scarlet Knights after an injury his freshman season held him out the entire year. He still has not played a game in Piscataway.
Munnerlyn decided he needed a fresh start after a run of bad luck with Rutgers.

At first, Munnerlyn was set to come to Rutgers as a tight end commit but ended up practicing with the receivers.
The 6-foot-5, 210-pound Munnerlyn has the frame to be a strong receiver at the college level. It should be noted that Munnerlyn is from Columbus, Ohio.
We wouldn’t suggest too much hypothesizing. There’s a long road ahead of Munnerlyn with 3 years of eligibility remaining once he is healthy.
