Rutgers has reportedly dismissed a rising sophomore wide receiver from the team amid serious criminal allegations.

According to NJ.com, WR Dacoven Bailey, who caught nine passes for 122 yards and a touchdown last year, has been suspended for an incident that occurred in his home state of Texas in December.

Per the report, Bailey was one of four men accused of raping a 15-year-old girl in Texas, and the Scarlet Knights have subsequently kicked him off the team and dismissed him from the university:

A Rutgers athletics spokesman confirmed to NJ Advance Media that Dacoven Bailey, who played in nine games last fall, was kicked off the team and dismissed from the university in January.

Bailey is currently out of jail on a $20,000 bond and is awaiting his trial.

Rutgers coach Chris Ash has not yet commented on the dismissal of the rising sophomore receiver.
