Rutgers WR enters transfer portal day after conclusion of spring practice
Rutgers hosted its spring game on Thursday night and by Friday afternoon, a junior receiver had entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal.
Rivals.com is reporting that receiver Paul Woods has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal. He has been at Rutgers the past two seasons, playing in 16 career games for the Scarlet Knights.

Woods appeared in 11 games for the Scarlet Knights during the 2019 season, making 9 catches for 48 yards. Last year, he played in five of the nine contests and was credited with 5 receptions for 27 yards. He’s also returned 1 kickoff for 7 yards.
A native of Buffalo, New York, Woods was a member of the 2018 recruiting class. He was ranked as the No. 12 prospect out of New York and was considered one of the Top 200 receivers of the cycle. Woods committed to Rutgers in July 2017.
Rutgers is coming off a 3-6 season in 2020. This was also the first spring season under head coach Greg Schiano, as last year’s spring ball was called off because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
