Aron Cruickshank may be responsible for the play of the night.
Friday night, in the 3rd quarter of the Week 9 showdown between Rutgers and Nebraska, Cruickshank returned a kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown to put the Scarlet Knights back in front of a one-score game. His long touchdown return came after Adrian Martinez tied the game at 14-14 with a 41-yard scamper of his own.
It was the second-straight season in which Cruickshank returned a kickoff back to the end zone against the Huskers. Last season, he scored on a kickoff return when he was a wide receiver and return man at Wisconsin.

That was Cruickshank’s second kickoff return for a touchdown this season. A few weeks ago, the speedster took one back to the house in a 37-30 victory over Purdue in West Lafayette.
For his career, Cruickshank has scored 4 touchdowns on kickoff returns.
This season, Cruickshank had totaled 573 yards and a score as a return man for the Scarlet Knights coming into Friday night’s game. He also has 275 receiving yards and added 26 rushing yards this year, as well.
