Steve Pikiell has reached a career milestone. It came on Sunday, as Rutgers downed Minnesota at the RAC 64-56.

With the win, Pikiell hit 250 career wins as a head coach on Sunday. He piled up 192 career victories in 11 seasons at Stony Brook and picked up his 58th win at Rutgers by beating Minnesota.

Pikiell is in his fourth year with the Scarlet Knights, and it’s easily the best season he’s enjoyed in Piscataway. Rutgers is off to a 14-4 start this year, and is 5-2 in B1G play. Pikiell’s group is tied for second in the conference with Illinois, sitting just one game behind Michigan State (6-1).

Rutgers has never won more than 15 games in one season under Pikiell. Last year, the Knights finished with 14 victories. After the win over Minnesota, there’s a good chance the team could be ranked in the Associated Press Poll this week. The rankings will be released on Monday.

Pikiell will have a chance to get win No. 251 on Wednesday, as Rutgers travels to Iowa.
