Cam Spencer couldn’t miss from deep during Rutgers’ Wednesday night win over Northwestern. The senior Loyola Maryland transfer made 6 of his 7 3-point attempts, including the game-winner with under 15 seconds remaining.

Spencer is the definition of a shooter. He’s draining 48.2% of his 3-point attempts this season on 83 shots, making him the No. 27 3-point shooter in the nation according to KenPom.

Postgame, head coach Steve Pikiell raved about the senior’s play for the Scarlet Knights this season.

Spencer was a 0-star recruit coming out of high school and has fit into his role with the Scarlet Knights to perfection. He’s part of the reason Pikiell’s squad is off to the best start a Rutgers team has seen since 2019-20.

Rutgers is sitting at 12-5 on the season with strong wins over Purdue, Maryland, Indiana and now Northwestern, which sits at 12-4 on the season. Next up for the Scarlet Knights is Ohio State this Sunday at 2:15 p.m. EST.
