This season has not been kind to the Scarlet Knights.

Rutgers has dropped to a disappointing 1-6 record after falling to the Maryland Terrapins by a score of 34-7. It has been a miserable six-game losing streak since a season-opening win, and the team is still searching for answers.

One of the biggest problems has been on the defensive side of the ball. Rutgers has allowed 34 or more points in five of their losses, and head coach Chris Ash is still searching for answers with the team.

“I don’t have, necessarily, an answer for some of the things that continue to happen to us,” explained Ash on Monday. He went on to describe that the team continues to have good practices and preparation leading up to game time.

Ash also emphasized that he has faith in the plan for Rutgers, even if the results haven’t come yet:

“Right now, it may not look like that,” said Ash. “It’s faith without results.”

Regardless of the plan, fans have to be antsy for another win after such a poor losing streak.
