Devin and Jason McCourty shared a special moment on Sunday night, as the twin brothers became Super Bowl champions with the Patriots posting a 13-3 win over the Rams.
For Devin, it was a familiar feeling. Sunday was the third time he’s been a Super Bowl champion with New England. But for Jason, this was something completely different.
Jason spent the 2017 season with the Cleveland Browns, a team that finished the year 0-16. Just one year later, he’s a Super Bowl champion.
But, of course, the one aspect that is unique, that neither has experienced, is winning a championship with your brother on the same field. After the game, the McCourty’s talked about winning the Super Bowl as teammates:
“I couldn’t imagine that I’d be sitting with you right here at this desk.” – Jason McCourty (@McCourtyTwins) on going from 0-16 with the Browns last season to winning his first Super Bowl ring
