As Rutgers enters Year 4 of the Chris Ash era, the Scarlet Knights are in need of finding playmakers. They may have located one during Saturday’s spring game.

Little used Charles Snorweah showed off some great vision and blistering speed on Saturday afternoon, taking a simple handoff 75 yards for a touchdown, embarrassing every defender on the field.

Snorweah took the handoff and appeared to get stopped near the line of scrimmage. When he bounced to the outside, he was off to the races and nobody could catch him.

That’s exactly the kind of player Rutgers needs on the field come fall.

Snorweah has seen limited playing time during his career in Piscataway. In four years, the running back has appeared in 15 career games, mostly on special teams. He participated in seven contests a year ago, taking five handoffs for 23 yards.

He’s certainly making a case to see the field more frequently in 2019 this spring.
