College football has as much history as just about any sport in this country.

The first game was played in 1869 and Rutgers faced Princeton and won 6-4. Now, 150 years later, Rutgers is going to re-enact that game:

The game itself is going to take place at 6:15 p.m. on Aug. 30, one hour prior to Rutgers’ official season-opener this season against UMass. The game will be a re-enactment, put on by Rutgers theatre students dressed in late 1800’s era costumes according to a release.

The re-enactment will be free to attend by all fans attending Rutgers’ official 2019 opener against UMass at home.
