WATCH: This Rutgers turnover is in the running for worst pass of the season
It has been one of those seasons for Rutgers.
The Scarlet Knights have been on a horrendous slide, losing nine straight to fall to 1-9. After trailing Penn State 13-0 at halftime, there’s a very real chance the Knights will go to 1-10 with a road game against Michigan State left on the schedule.
Nothing has gone right, but this throw by quarterback Artur Sitkowski may be the worst of the season. After dropping back to pass, he unleashed an off-balance throw down the sideline.
The only person in the vicinity was a Nittany Lions defender who made an easy interception. What made the play even more confusing is the fact Sitkowski was never under heavy pressure.
Brian Fonseca shared the video of the mind-boggling decision:
Artur Sitkowski throws his 18th interception of the year, and this one is by far the worst. No pressure, off his back foot, with no receiver in the vicinity. pic.twitter.com/3H5jZ7qGnQ
