Former Purdue offensive lineman Spencer Holstege announced Wednesday that he will transfer to UCLA. He will have two years of eligibility with the Bruins who will join the B1G in 2024.

Coach Chip Kelly’s UCLA offense ranks among the nation’s very best scoring offenses in the NCAA with an average of 39.2 points per game. During the 2022 season, Kelly’s rushing offense was ranked 6th among the FBS. UCLA is third in the country in offensive output with 507.8 total yards per contest.

Just prior to the Boilermakers’ bowl game against LSU, Holstege announced that he would be entering the transfer portal. Holstege among others had to fill in due to the numerous injuries Purdue’s offensive line suffered throughout the season.

He was a consistent starter for the 2020, 2021 and 2022 seasons with an All-B1G honorable mention for his 5 starts during the modified Covid-19 season. He is listed at 6-foot-5 and 310 pounds.
