Michigan lands commitment from North Carolina transfer Elliot Cadeau

Michigan has landed a big name out of the transfer portal. North Carolina transfer Elliot Cadeau is taking his talents to Ann Arbor.
Cadeau, a former 5-star recruit, spent 2 seasons at UNC.
NEWS: North Carolina transfer Elliot Cadeau has committed to Michigan, he announced. Started 68 games for the Tar Heels over the last two seasons, ranked in the top 20 nationally with 6.2 assists per game while also averaging 9.4 points.

Out of the Link Academy in Branson, Missouri, Cadeau was one of the top prospects in the Class of 2023. On the 247Sports Composite, the West Orange, New Jersey native was rated 5-stars, the No. 2 point guard and No. 11 prospect overall nationally.
Cadeau chose UNC over Louisville, Texas Tech and others. He’ll be entering his junior year in 2025-26.
As a freshman, Cadeau played in 37 games, making 31 starts in the 2023-24 campaign. He averaged 7.3 points, 4.1 points and 2.2 assists over 23.9 minutes per game in his debut season. His 150 assists in 2023-24 were most by any Tar Heel since Theo Pinson in 2018
Cadeau made 40 appearances for the Tar Heels as a sophomore, all starts. His playing time and production went up in Year 2. In the 2024-25 season, Cadeau posted averaged of 9.2 points, 5.9 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game.
Cadeau is a 42.8% shooter over his career.
