Keeshawn Silver is heading west. Pete Nakos of On3 reported Thursday that Silver has signed with USC.

Silver is entering Year 5 of his college football career. He played his first 2 seasons at North Carolina. Silver heads to USC after spending the past 2 seasons with Kentucky.

Silver heads to USC with 30 games of collegiate experience. He has made 23 career starts, all at Kentucky.

This past season, Silver started in all 12 games for the Wildcats. The 6-4, 336-pounder recorded 26 tackles, including a TFL, sack and QB hurry, on the season. He had a career-high 4 tackles in UK’s game against Auburn.

In 2023, Silver started 11 of 12 games on Kentucky’s defensive line, missing only the contest against Mizzou due to injury. He logged 17 tackles, including 2 TFLs as a redshirt sophomore.

Out of Rocky Mount (North Carolina) High School, Silver was a top prospect. On the 247Sports Composite, he was rated 5-stars, the No. 1 player in the state of North Carolina, No. 8 defensive lineman and No. 31 recruit overall in the Class of 2021.

Silver chose to stay home and begin his career at UNC. With the Tar Heels, he played in just 6 games over 2 seasons. He was able to take a redshirt in 2021, giving him eligibility for 2025.
