Kirk Herbstreit isn’t a fan of USC QB Caleb Williams’ fingernails. More specifically, Herbstreit was not a fan of the message painted on the nails.

The analyst recently had some strong words for the QB and the USC program after Williams sported nails painted with the message “F— Utah” during the Pac-12 Championship. On Monday, Herbstreit sounded off on College GameDay on ESPN.

The analyst pointed out the bad optics for the program, saying “That represents Lincoln Riley too. They need to clean that shit up.”

Although he didn’t have painted nails for the Heisman Trophy ceremony in New York, the QB has sported messages on nails throughout the season. Williams has said that the art is a tribute to his mother, who has done nails most of her life.

The nails obviously aren’t a factor on the field, as Williams led the Trojans to an 11-1 regular season before losing to Utah in the Pac-12 Championship. Williams also holds the record in the FBS this season, and in USC history, for the most TDs with 47.

The No. 8 Trojans face No. 14 Tulane on Monday.
