Matt Leinart gave his expectations for USC’s 2022 season following the Week 1 win over Rice.

Leinart, who was a legendary quarterback at USC, gave his thoughts on the Trojans’ season on Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff. Leinart was impressed with the Week 1 win and wanted to see more from his alma mater. In addition to Leinart, former USC running back Reggie Bush chimed in with his own expectations.

Leinart spoke about the explosive offense that USC has. The offense will help the program make a run at the College Football Playoff:

“We know offensively, they’re gonna be as good as anyone in the country,” Leinart said.

Bush took it a step further with what USC needs to get done this season:

“It’s definitely Pac-12 championship or bust for USC this year,” Bush said.

With Oregon and Utah losing both Week 1 games, USC is the Pac-12’s best chance at having a team in the Playoff. Winning a Pac-12 Championship will certainly help USC’s case at reaching the Playoff.

USC will be tested in Week 2 with a road game against Stanford at 7:30 p.m. ET.
