That’s welcomed news for a USC team that has dealt with its fair share of injury issues over Riley’s first 2 seasons at the helm. It’s also important given that the Trojans will be playing LSU in Las Vegas on Sunday night in what figures to be one of the best games of the weekend.
LSU head coach Brian Kelly also issued an injury update on a couple of key players this week. Wide receiver Chris Hilton and offensive lineman Miles Frazier, both projected starters, are somewhat uncertain for Sunday’s game. While Hilton is considered “questionable” for the opener, Frazier is “probable” according to Kelly.
LSU has not won a season-opener since 2019. On the other hand, USC is 2-0 in season-openers with Riley in charge. This will be just the 3rd meeting all-time between USC and LSU, with the most recent coming in 1984. These programs split the first 2 matchups in this series.
USC is a 4-point underdog against LSU on Sunday night, per the latest lines from ESPN BET.
