USC flips major 5-star recruit from SEC program
USC is going in a different direction at quarterback for the 2025 recruiting class.
The Trojans had Julian Lewis in the fold for over a year after the Carrollton, Georgia product committed to the program in August 2023.
That pledge came to an end, though, as the Trojans flipped fellow 5-star quarterback Husan Longstreet from Texas A&M. The Centennial (Corona, Ca.) standout joins a class that is ranked 13th in the country by 247Sports and immediately becomes its highest-rated recruit.

Longstreet is considered the No. 6 quarterback in the country by 247Sports’ composite rankings, as well as the No. 34 player nationally. Lewis, by comparison, is ranked No. 5 among quarterbacks and No. 31 overall.
Longstreet originally committed to the Aggies in April and took an official visit there in May. But the Trojans eventually made him a major focus for their 2025 class, even with Lewis in the fold.
On Saturday, Longstreet was at the L.A. Coliseum for an unofficial visit as the Trojans hosted Nebraska. And on Sunday, he made his decision, opting to play for the Trojans over the Aggies with two and a half weeks remaining before the Early Signing Period opens.
