USC includes key OL pieces on availability report for Notre Dame matchup
USC has an offensive line issue heading into Saturday’s matchup against Notre Dame, in addition to losses and potential losses at other positions for this game.
The Trojans will be without both offensive lineman Micah Banuelos and defensive end Solomon Tuliaupupu. Additional players are questionable between offensive tackle Elijah Paige, offensive lineman Jonah Monheim and defensive tackle Jide Abasiri.
While often under-appreciated, offensive lineman is arguably the most important position in football and will be crucial to USC opening things up both through the air and on the ground.
Here’s a look at the full injury report:
It is reasonable to expect that among the questionable players, Mannheim should have the ability to go as he has played through a number of injuries this season. Taking the field in this game would add just one contest to what he has consistently done throughout the year.
Kilian O’Connor is expected to take his place in the event that he can’t go. And as far as Paige goes, expect to see some Tobias Raymond action.
USC and Notre Dame are set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET/12:30 pm PT in the Trojans’ house as Rivalry Week continues in the last game of the college football regular season.
