Justus Terry is a 5-star recruit and one of the top overall players in the country for the 2025 recruiting class. He has already committed to 2 programs, but he’s back on the market after reopening his recruitment on Wednesday.

After committing to Lincoln Riley and USC in March, Terry wrote his recruitment is open on social media. He also used a hashtag to say “give me everything you got” with a shrugging emoji.

USC also lost a commitment from Isaiah Gibson on Tuesday, a 4-star composite edge prospect with a 5-star rating from some rating services. Losing those 2 players is a massive hit to the Trojans ahead of their first season in the Big Ten.

According to the 247 Sports Composite, Terry is the No. 2 DL in the country for the class of 2025. He’s also the 7th overall prospect in the country regardless of position.

Meanwhile, Gibson checks in as the No. 2 edge recruit and the 36th overall player for the cycle. Both players hail from Georgia with Terry the No. 2 player from the state and Gibson the No. 8 player from the state.

Both players are impact prospects and key SEC targets, but the major storyline involves Terry, a player with 2 commitments already in the cycle. In January 2023, Terry revealed an extremely early commitment to Kirby Smart’s in-state UGA program.

That commitment lasted a little over a year with Terry officially flipping to USC in March 2024. Now, he’s back on the market just 3 months later.

He has no shortage of scholarship offers, including Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, Texas A&M and others out of the SEC. His Big Ten offers include USC, Oregon and Penn State.

Terry’s next commitment will be interesting to monitor. But, with 2 decommits already, his next commitment might not even become his final destination.
