USC loses commitment from 5-star following SEC visit
USC appears destined for a wild week as Lincoln Riley tries to lock down his 2025 class when the Early Signing Period opens. The Trojans suffered another decommitment on Sunday when 5-star wide receiver Jerome Myles reopened his recruitment
Myles took a visit to Texas A&M over the weekend and was on hand for the Aggies’ top-25 showdown with Texas. In a post on his Instagram story, he referenced “talking with my family and God.” Myles later posted a screenshot of that story on his Twitter page.

Myles is a significant target for A&M coach Mike Elko and his staff as the Early Signing Period approaches. The Draper (Utah) Corner Canyon wideout is the No. 5 wide receiver in the 2025 class and the No. 23 overall recruit in the class.
He has been compared to former Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze and was productive as a junior despite an injury-riddled year.
Myles’ recruitment has been a whirlwind. He committed to Ole Miss in late April, just days after taking an official visit to Oxford. Following OVs to Utah and Texas A&M in June, he backed off that pledge to the Rebels.
USC offered a month later, got him on campus for an OV during the first week of September, and landed a verbal commitment from him on Sept. 18. At that time, Utah and A&M were also finalists.
With the Early Signing Period opening on Wednesday, Dec. 4, Riley has work to do in order to keep this class together. The Trojans have 20 known commitments in a class that ranks 17th in the country. Myles was the highest-ranked recruit in the USC class. Corona (Calif.) Centennial quarterback Husan Longstreet is now the lone 5-star commit pledged to the Trojans.
