USC making QB change following Week 10, per report
USC has rolled out Miller Moss as the team’s starting quarterback for every game of the season. However, it looks like that will change as we get set for Week 11.
According to reporting from ESPN’s Pete Thamel and Paolo Uggetti, Lincoln Riley and the Trojans will be replacing Moss as the starter in favor of UNLV transfer Jayden Maiava. With USC on a bye this week, that will line Maiava up for a start against Nebraska in Week 12.

Maiava has appeared in 3 games for USC this season as the backup to Moss and is 8-for-11 throwing the ball for 66 yards. He also has a rushing touchdown after accounting for 20 total touchdowns and over 3,300 yards of offense with UNLV a season ago. Maiava transferred to USC with 3 seasons of eligibility.
Prior to this report, Riley has publicly defended Moss at every turn, even ass the Trojans have lost 4 of their last 5 games and are now 4-5 on the season. USC has lost every road game this season by one score.
In USC’s last 4 losses, Moss has 7 total interceptions, including 3 in the 26-21 loss to Washington. Those miscues have certainly been an issue after USC held a fourth-quarter lead in each game.
