USC RB to enter transfer portal after 2 seasons with Trojans
USC Trojans running back Quinten Joyner announced Monday that he will be entering the transfer portal with 3 years of eligibility remaining.
Joyner, a redshirt freshman from Paige, Texas, saw a lot of action on the field this season after minimal contributions during his true freshman season in 2023. Joyner finished the year having appeared in 11 games for the Trojans. He totaled 63 carries for 478 yards and 3 touchdowns and 12 receptions for 89 yards and a touchdown.
As you can see below, Joyner led the Big Ten in yards per carry at an impressive 7.6.

Obviously, Joyner is likely to be a major target in the portal with that yards per carry number in mind. At 5’11, 216 pounds, Joyner is likely to get a featured role with some power conference team.
USC’s first year in the Big Ten was a strange one. The Trojans started off hot by downing LSU, but fell to Michigan just 2 games later. Since that point the Trojans lost 5 of their last, including losses to Maryland, Minnesota and Washington – all by one possession.
In fact, despite a 6-6 record, the Trojans lost just one game all season by more than one possession – Week 14 against Notre Dame.
