USC WR Kyron Hudson reveals decision on playing future
USC wide receiver Kyron Hudson revealed a surprising decision on Thursday. After spending 4 seasons in the program, he is opting to hit the transfer portal as a graduate transfer and will look to finish his career elsewhere.
Hudson elevated his game this season with a career-high 462 yards, finishing 3rd on USC. He opened the season with a bang, delivering 5 catches for 83 yards in the opening win against LSU.
“The past four years have been nothing short of life-changing,” wrote Hudson in his announcement. “From the moment I first set foot on USC’s campus, it felt like home — a place where dreams were within reach and bonds were forged for a lifetime…
“With that, after much reflection, I’ve decided to enter the transfer portal as a grad transfer with one year of eligibility remaining. This decision is not made lightly, but I am confident that God has an exciting plan for me in this next chapter. I step forward with gratitude for my time at USC and anticipation for what lies ahead.”

Hudson was originally a 4-star prospect coming out of Mater Dei High School in the 2021 recruiting class. He first saw increased action during the 2022 season.
Overall, Hudson has 72 career catches for 807 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns. His decision is certainly a hit to the offensive depth of the Trojans heading into the offseason.
