USC wide receiver Makai Lemon was involved in a scary situation during the Trojans’ game against Michigan on Saturday.

Lemon absorbed a big hit from a Wolverines defender during a punt and lay on the field for a few minutes. The entire Trojans sideline gathered nearby him in a show of support, as you can see below:

Eventually (and fortunately) Lemon was able to walk off on the field under his own power, but needed to be transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. Later in the CBS broadcast, reporter Jenny Dell stated that Lemon was “OK”.

Lemon came into Saturday’s game with 4 catches for 45 yards. He recorded his first career touchdown with a scoring grab against Utah State in Week 2. As a freshman in 2023, he played in 9 games, making 6 catches for 88 yards.

USC and Michigan is on CBS. It’s the first Big Ten conference game for the Trojans, but their thoughts are sure to be on the wellbeing of their teammate.
