Zachariah Branch will reportedly look to continue his college football career elsewhere after spending 2 seasons at USC.

On Tuesday afternoon, ESPN college football insider Pete Thamel broke the news that the star wide receiver and his brother Zion Branch plan to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

Out of Las Vegas (Nevada) Bishop Gorman High School, Zachariah Branch was one of the most sought-after recruits in the 2023 recruiting class. On the 247Sports Composite, he was rated 5-stars, the No. 1 wide receiver and No. 4 prospect overall in the Class of 2023. He signed with USC over scholarship offers from 25 other programs, including Alabama and Texas A&M.

Zachariah lived up to the hype in his first season, earning All-American recognition as a true freshman. In USC’s 2023 campaign, he logged 31 catches for 320 yards and 2 touchdowns, 9 rushes for 70 yards and 1 score and 16 punt returns for 332 yards and 1 TD over 11 games.

This past season, Branch increased his receiving production. He recorded 47 catches for 503 yards and 1 touchdown over 12 games.

Zion Branch joined USC a year before his brother, signing with the Trojans as part of the 2022 recruiting class. He was a 4-star prospect, rated the No. 6 safety and No. 58 player overall on the Composite.

Zion suffered an injury in 2022 fall camp, leading him to redshirt his first year on campus. Over the past 2 seasons, he has played in 19 games, recording 41 total tackles, including 30 solo stops and 3 TFLs with 1 sack, adding 3 passes defended and 1 forced fumble.

Thamel notes that the sought-after brothers are expected to transfer to the same team to continue playing together.
