4-star OL out of Wisconsin updates recruitment, still considering 3 B1G programs
One of the top interior linemen for the class of 2022 recently updated his recruiting, and he listed 3 B1G programs still high on his list.
The player is Carson Hinzman, a 6-foot-4 and 280 lb. interior OL out of Hammond, Wisconsin for the class of 2022. Among the programs he is still high on are 2 B1G West rivals and 1 program out of the B1G East.
“Wisconsin, Ohio State, Minnesota…those are the ones that I would really love to go to,” said Hinzman.
He discussed the in-state Badgers and what he has seen from the program in Madison:
“Obviously Wisconsin, it’s the home state they make o-linemen,” said Hinzman. “They do a good job.”
Hinzman also touched on Ohio State and said he has communicated with QB Quinn Ewers:
“Ohio State, I’m talking to Quinn Ewers a little bit,” Hinzman explained. “He’s an icon, being able to converse with him a little bit and knowing you’re going to be able to go against the best of the best.”
According to the industry-generated composite rankings, Hinzman is a 4-star recruit and the No. 4 interior OL in the country for 2022. Hinzman also grades out as the No. 135 player in the country regardless of position.
